You are not alone.
We Provide Expert Sleep Support That Fits Your Family.
You've read the books. Taken a wildly popular online course.
Maybe even hired a sleep consultant (or two).
But your child feels... different. And you keep wondering: Why hasn't any of this worked for us?
I promise that your child isn't destined for terrible sleep.
You didn't fail. The methods have failed you.
Little Dipper Sleep provides personalized sleep coaching for individuals and families of all ages—from newborns through perimenopause and beyond.
Based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, we serve families in-person throughout Durham, Raleigh, Cary, and the greater Triangle area. Remote coaching is available worldwide.
Founded by Liz Harden, MPH, a certified sleep consultant with specialized training in neurodivergent sleep challenges, attachment theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), we offer individualized support that respects each person’s unique wiring, temperament, and values.
Blending sleep science with nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and a range of evidence-based approaches, we are your partner in achieving stellar sleep.
Most sleep programs are built for neurotypical children with straightforward sleep needs.
But what if your child has ADHD, autism, or sensory processing differences? What if they struggle with anxiety or big emotions? What if they're highly sensitive, “spirited,” intense, or just wired differently?
They need something more flexible. More customized. More them.
That's exactly what we do.
Sleep coaching with Little Dipper is a good fit if you’re dealing with :
-
Frequent Night Wakings
We address sleep foundations, age-appropriate schedules, and sleep associations
-
Bedtime battles and/or nap resistance
We focus on nervous system regulation, connection, and gentle limit-setting
-
Split Nights
We uncover the root cause and implement evidence-based strategies to consolidate nighttime sleep
-
Neurodivergent child (ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder)
We use sensory-aware, regulation-focused strategies tailored to your child’s wiring
-
Early Morning Wakings
We troubleshoot schedules, sleep environment, and circadian rhythm alignment
-
Short naps
We address wake windows, sleep pressure, and independent sleep skills
-
Parental anxiety or overwhelm
We incorporate mindfulness, co-regulation, and support for your nervous system
-
Sleep training feels wrong or hasn’t worked, even with other sleep coaches
We offer flexible approaches that respect your comfort level and have resolved many sleep issues that other agencies have not been able to solve
-
Adult insomnia or perimenopause sleep issues
We use CBT-I and mindfulness techniques for chronic and situational sleep disruption. Sometime adults reach out to us on their own, sometimes parental sleep problems linger after the child’s is resolved. Either way, the whole family deserves stellar sleep!
Already tried sleep coaching and it didn't work?
You're not the problem. Neither is your child.
Many of the families Liz works with come to her after another approach didn't land, whether that's an online sleep program that wasn't built for their child, or a coach whose methods didn't fit their family's values or situation. When generic approaches fail, parents are left wondering what they did wrong. The answer is usually nothing.
This is one of Liz's specialties. She works regularly with families who've hit a wall, especially those with neurodivergent children, highly sensitive kids, or situations that don't fit neatly into standard protocols.
If that's you, you're in exactly the right place.

The North Star Solution
Helping families discover stellar sleep
Pediatric Sleep Support, From a Pediatric Sleep Expert Who Listens
Sleep struggles affect everything: your energy, your mood, your relationship with your kids, and your whole family's wellbeing. If you're ready for a plan built around your actual child and your real life, I've got your back every step of the way, introducing our North Star Solution.
Step 1
45-Minute Sleep Strategy Session with Liz
We start with a deep dive into your child's sleep, your family's needs, and what's going on in your unique household.
Because sleep doesn't happen in isolation, we look at the whole family system: the caregivers in the home, siblings, and the rhythms of your daily life.
You'll leave with real, personalized guidance from someone who has seen it all, and we'll continue to refine and adjust together throughout your 60 days of support based on how your child is actually responding.
Step 2
Custom Stellar Sleep Guide for Your Family
We know that when you're exhausted, making decisions feels extra hard.
That's why we give you something tangible to hold onto: a comprehensive, personalized sleep plan built specifically for your child, with evidence-based strategies matched to their unique needs and your family's values.
Step 3
Expert
Facilitation
Implementation is where most families get stuck, so I'll be right by your side. Many families start seeing improvement within just a few days.
And for those moments when you need a little extra reassurance or troubleshooting…
I've got you covered for a full 60 days.
YOUR 60-DAY SUPPORT INCLUDES:
Check-in calls: Tuesday and Thursday office hours (one 15-minute check-in per week, self-scheduled whenever you need it)
Email support: Email whenever you'd like, and I'll respond on Monday or Wednesday. If there's a lot to work through, I'll follow up with a quick call so we can talk it out together rather than trying to cover it all in writing.
Sleep resource library: Access to our full library of sleep resources, delivered throughout your coaching journey as relevant to your family's needs.
Most families reach their goals and feel confident within 60 days. Want to stay connected? Extended support is available.

FAQs
-
A sleep coach (also called a sleep consultant) provides personalized guidance to help families and individuals improve sleep. We assess your current situation, create your family's custom Stellar Sleep Guide, and provide ongoing support as you implement changes. Unlike generic sleep training programs, we tailor our approach to each person's unique needs and values.
-
Sleep coaching for neurodivergent children is one of our specialties. We understand sensory needs, nervous system regulation, and the individualized sleep challenges that come with ADHD, autism, and sensory processing differences. Your child’s unique wiring will always be respected, and we’ll create strategies that work WITH their nervous system, not against it.
-
We offer the full spectrum of evidence-based sleep strategies. Together, we’ll choose the approach that fits your parenting style, your child’s temperament, and your family’s real life. During our intro call, we’ll discuss what feels right for your family. You’re always in control of the approach, and we’ll never pressure you toward methods that don’t align with your values.
-
If you're feeling discouraged, that makes sense. Generic sleep training programs often fail because they don't account for your child's specific temperament, developmental stage, or your family's real-life needs.
Liz and her team specialize in exactly these situations. With a Master's degree in Health Behavior and Health Education and over a decade of clinical experience, Liz has built a practice around solving the sleep challenges that other coaches couldn't crack. If anything, a complicated history makes us more determined to find what actually works for your family.
